WW1 War Service Australia badge with certificate of appreciation to M.S.M winner

Only example I have seen of a certificate of appreciation with the original badge which in itself is a rare example being Hallmarked with a date of 1917 ( normally 1918 and 1919 date stamp). I originally thought that these badges were only worn by female staff working at the AIF postal sorting & Admin HQ in Horseferry Road London , however as can be seen the postcard which appears to have been taken from large Certificate this badge was issued to Warrant Officer A.E COOPER of the Investigation Section A.A.P.C . COOPER was obviously well thought of due to the fact that the Original Certificate was produced in the first place, when looking at his war record you can see why. Arthur Edwin Cooper, born 1889 in Bairnsdale, Victoria. was trained as a telegraphist on 26/10/14 joined AIF sent to Signal company, Engineers Reinforcements, sailing on 22/12/14 on 11/7/15 whilst at Gallipoli was wounded in action G.S.W to thigh, later being sent to England and working at AIF HQ. awarded M.S.M and being discharged as Lieutenant
