WW2 8th Army in Italy M.M group, River Senio & Po

WW2 Military Medal group awarded to T/170411 Sgt Sydney Frank SPEAR R.A.S.C with the following Military Medal citation;
During the whole of the last offensive Sgt Spears platoon was employed in carrying Bailey bridging for Divisions from the River SENIO to the River PO. The operation of transport platoon for bridging throws great responsibilities proper to an officer.
Many bridging tasks were carried out under shell & mortar fire. Sgt Spear always set a magnificent example by his courage, calmness and chearlufness under all conditions. He inspired those under him to maximum effort. The successful completion of all operations was due mainly to his leadership.
He has been a Platoon Sgt for 3 1/2 years.
All medals are in great condition with nice age patina.
Sgt Spear gave his home town as Willesden Green . London.
