WW1 11th Batt A.I.F Souvenir coin, Pte OKES W.I.A
Large silver 5 francs coin dated 1832 that was obviously made for 5171 Private Walter OKES A.Co 11th Battalion A.I.F as a souvenir of the Great War, his records show he was a stockman from Gladstone S.A who enlisted in W.A, he is shown being hospitalised with Malaria shortly after his arrival in France obviously contracted whilst first stopping in Cairo, W.I.A with a G.S.W to the left arm, stayed on in France until returning to Australia June 1919
