Trio, 103008 DVR F.E.SNELL served France & Italy

Interesting trio issued to Frederick Edward SNELL a driver in the Royal Field Artillery, from 22 Woodchester Street, Paddington. Originally posted to the Rifle Brigade he was later posted to the RFA attached to No2 section, 5th Division B.E.F France for 2 years 88 days, then in December 1917 he was sent to Italy for 188 days before being returned to the Western Front for the spring offensive and the rest of the war, luckily his 16 page service record survived, he was 5’ 2 1/2” and his occupation was ‘egg roundsman’
