Battle of Crete Australian “Diggers’ steel helmet dated 1941

1941 dated MK111 Australian made steel helmet.
I purchased this helmet from someone in Perth Australia who found it on holiday in Crete in the 1980s and returned it to Australia.
Helmet is nicely dated and as you can see has had a hard life but still retains a lot of original paint and the liner, large dent on top of helmet, luckily has never been cleaned.

Great example with original dark green paint with rough sand finish.
A subtitle black stray camouflaged finish has also been applied .
The strap has a little rust staining on it but is an original Australian made example.
