Battle of Crete Australian “Diggers’ steel helmet dated 1941
1941 dated MK111 Australian made steel helmet.
I purchased this helmet from someone in Perth Australia who found it on holiday in Crete in the 1980s and returned it to Australia.
Helmet is nicely dated and as you can see has had a hard life but still retains a lot of original paint and the liner, large dent on top of helmet, luckily has never been cleaned.
