WW1 Australian Rising Sun, Unique to photographic studio

Very unusual item that i bought years ago from an antiques dealer who had purchased the contents of a defunct photographic studio in London. Many wartime photo studios carried props to enhance the soldiers photos such as the walking canes seen being held by these two young men. WW1 memorial scroll still in its original posting cardboard tube addressed to next of kin. Awarded to Albert BRYANT, Regimental number 263 of the 21st Australian Machine Gun Company K.I.A in France on 15/4/17.
Albert joined the AIF on 31/1/16 in Townsville , Queensland. He was originally from Wells, Somerset, England.  read more
